You can no longer remove artifacts from Florida rivers, so you have to go elsewhere like we are now, long drive but its worth it.
But you can remove fossils with a fossil permit from the state.
11-26-06: Went to a pond on the ranch, look what turned up........in the sand!
And then a wonderful set of Jaws..........I was in a shallow creek, 3 feet deep, just cruising the run and then all of a sudden
a set of Mastodon teeth was jutting up from the sandy bottom- and then as I looked closer the whole lower bottom jaw was all there.
